Job Description
- work with High-Voltage battery system Manufacturing engineering team to establish manufacturing processes & tooling for Battery Modules/Packs and its related components.
- Developing complex 3D assembly models and detailed 2D production drawings using platforms like SolidWorks or CATIA.
- Design and Manufacture fixtures for battery module and pack assembly using SolidWorks or Catia.
- Perform 1D,2D,3D tolerance stack up analysis for battery assembly stack.
- Coordinate and work with product design team during initial concept designs phase for advance tooling concepts.
- Support in prototype builds and ensure the process and tooling design are validated.
- Collaborate closely with Design, Quality and internal teams to define optimal strategies in battery manufacturing.
- Collaborate during battery module and pack assembly process like Laser welding, Adhesive dispensing etc.
- Work with qualified suppliers for manufacturing the tooling, validation, commissioning etc.
- CAD Proficiency - Expert-level capabilities in industry-standard CAD software such as SolidWorks or CATIA
- Understanding of GD&T ASME Y14.5 and its applications.
- Prior experience with lithium-ion cylindrical or pouch cell assembly and manufacturing and high-voltage safety.
