Job Description
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace/ Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: 3–7+ years in manufacturing engineering, product lifecycle management, or configuration management.
Key Responsibilities:
Change Control Management: Author, review, and process Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), and Manufacturing Change Orders (MCOs). Coordinate cross-functional sign-offs (Engineering, Quality, Procurement, Operations).
BOM Management: Maintain and audit the Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM) to ensure alignment with the Engineering Bill of Materials (EBOM) across product variants.
Baseline Control: Establish, audit, and archive manufacturing baselines (build configurations, assembly instructions, routing, tooling specs).
Impact Analysis: Conduct change impact assessments to determine effectivity dates, disposition of existing inventory (scrap, rework, use-as-is), tooling modifications, and cost implications.
Data Integrity & PLM/ERP Synchronization: Maintain master data integrity between Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
Compliance & Audits: Perform regular configuration control audits to ensure shop-floor builds match approved engineering and manufacturing documentation (AS9100 compliance).
Process Improvement: Develop, implement, and standardize Configuration Management Plans (CMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
