Role Overview
We are looking for a Backend Developer with 1-2 years of experience in Java or Python to build scalable, reliable, and maintainable backend systems. You will collaborate with frontend/mobile developers, product teams, and other engineers to develop APIs and services that power user-facing products.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs using Java or Python.
- Build scalable and maintainable server-side components.
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs for web and mobile applications.
- Work with relational and/or NoSQL databases and write efficient queries.
- Debug production issues and improve application performance and reliability.
- Write clean, modular, testable, and well-documented code.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with frontend, mobile, product, and other cross-functional teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 1-2 years of professional backend development experience.
- Strong programming skills in either Java or Python.
- Experience building REST APIs and backend services.
- Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, OOP, and software engineering fundamentals.
- Working knowledge of SQL and databases such as MySQL/PostgreSQL; exposure to NoSQL is a plus.
- Familiarity with Git and version control.
- Good debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Good to Have
- For Java: experience with Spring Boot or similar frameworks.
- For Python: experience with Django, Flask, FastAPI, or similar frameworks.
- Exposure to caching, message queues, cloud platforms, microservices, or containerization.
