The ideal candidate will have a strong passion and curiosity for research. This candidate should be able to conduct experiments to supplement work when necessary and analyse various points of data to establish findings. Responsibilities:Strong technical knowledge in bioprocess aspectsTo operate bioprocess equipment like fermenter, dosing equipment, cell separation, TFF, spray dryingUnderstand the given concepts and execute experiments accordinglyCoordinate the scheduling of batches, ensuring the availability of raw materials, process consumables, and other necessary resources.Oversee the fermentation process and associated downstream activities to maintain operational efficiency.Facilitate communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams when necessary.Maintain sterility standards in upstream processPrioritize personal and process safety in the workplace.Prepare and maintain essential process-related documentation, including SOPs, EOPs, and BMR/BPR, in compliance with established guidelines and regulations.Maintain fermenters and related process equipment.Validate and document process equipment as required.Proficient in data collection and possesses strong data analytical skills.Competent in working with diverse microbial systems.Ready to work in rotational shifts.Desired Characteristics: Technical / Managerial / Communication Skills/ Personal Attributes;The candidate is expected to have:Good understanding of the principles of and experience/expertise in fermentation, microbial culture handling, feed requirements and other related science/processesPersonal Attributes:Detail-orientation with the ability to work with minimal supervisionAbility to independently make decisions based on data, scientific knowledge, and sound judgementAn intellectual curiosity, strong time management skills, a sense of ownership of workExcellent communication skills both written and oral.Required Qualifications: Years and Type of Experience / Education • 1-4 years of industrial experience in microbial fermentation facility (lab scale to pilot scale/production scale)• B.Tech/M.Tech (chemical engineering) Msc (Biotechnology, microbiology, biochemistry)Reporting Structure: Will report to and work closely with Senior Manager - Bioprocess
