We are looking for a curious and research-driven Research Intern to support 3one4 Capital’s sectoral research, market intelligence, and thought leadership initiatives.

The role offers exposure to emerging sectors, startups, founders, investors, and the broader technology ecosystem. You will work closely with the team on research projects, market studies, surveys, and research-led initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Research & Market Intelligence

  • Conduct secondary research across sectors, categories, companies, and emerging market opportunities

  • Support market landscaping exercises covering market size, customer behaviour, competitive dynamics, business models, and key players

  • Track emerging trends, companies, technologies, and developments across 3one4’s areas of interest

  • Support primary research by helping prepare for founder and expert conversations, capturing relevant inputs, and synthesizing findings

  • Organise and analyse qualitative and quantitative information to support ongoing research projects

  • Build and maintain research databases, trackers, and knowledge repositories

Reports & Thought Leadership

  • Support the team in developing research reports, sector deep-dives, surveys, and thought leadership content

  • Help structure research findings into clear narratives, presentations, briefing notes, and internal documents

  • Support research initiatives through survey design, data collection, desk research, and analysis

  • Assist with research-led content and strategic documents developed in collaboration with ecosystem partners

Investment & Ecosystem Research

  • Support the investment team with company, sector, and market research

  • Research companies, founders, markets, and competitors to support ongoing investment conversations

  • Help identify and track interesting companies, emerging categories, and market developments

  • Build and maintain databases of companies, founders, industry experts, and relevant ecosystem stakeholders

  • Support the team with research inputs for internal discussions, investment evaluations, and ecosystem initiatives

What We're Looking For

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree or a recent graduate in business, economics, engineering, statistics, or a related field

  • Strong curiosity about startups, technology, markets, consumer behaviour, and emerging sectors

  • Good research and analytical skills, with an ability to find, organise, and make sense of information

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Comfortable working with both qualitative and quantitative information

  • Detail-oriented and organised, with an ability to manage multiple tasks

  • Proactive and willing to learn, ask questions, and take ownership of assigned work

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to new research areas

  • Prior experience with research, consulting, startups, investing, or relevant academic projects is a plus, but not mandatory
