About the Role
The Portfolio Management (PMF) Team plays a critical role in supporting and managing the firm’s portfolio companies across four key areas: Due Diligence, Monitoring & Management, Debt & Treasury Facilitation, and Financial Team Structuring.
As a Portfolio Management Analyst, you will take ownership of monitoring a portfolio of 20+ companies, working closely with portfolio company management teams and senior members of the PMF team. The role offers hands-on exposure to financial analysis, business performance, compliance, taxation, debt, treasury, and strategic finance.
This is a high-ownership role suited for individuals who enjoy working across multiple businesses, are comfortable with financial data, and want to develop a strong understanding of how high-growth companies are managed from a finance and portfolio perspective.
Key Responsibilities
1. Portfolio Monitoring & Management

Take end-to-end ownership of monitoring 20+ portfolio companies, working closely with your Manager and PMF Lead.

Review monthly MIS, financial statements, cash flows, debt, working capital, and key operating metrics.

Identify business headwinds, tailwinds, risks, and opportunities through regular financial and operational analysis.

Work with founders and finance teams to understand key business developments and support resolution of identified issues.

Track key action items, financial performance, budgets, and business plans across portfolio companies.

Support value-creation initiatives and other strategic interventions across the portfolio.
2. Due Diligence

Support financial, tax, and forensic due diligence for new and existing investments.

Work with external diligence partners to review financial data, identify key risks, and track open
diligence items.

Analyse financial statements, MIS, tax filings, working capital, debt, and other relevant business
information.

Assist in preparing diligence summaries and investment committee materials.

3. Debt & Treasury Facilitation

Support portfolio companies in evaluating and arranging OD, WCDL, term loans, invoice discounting, and other financing facilities.

Analyse borrowing requirements, debt structures, interest costs, repayment schedules, and working capital requirements.

Support cash and treasury management, including evaluation of liquid funds, fixed deposits, and other short-term deployment options.

• Coordinate with banks, lenders, and portfolio company finance teams on financing and treasury requirements.
4. Finance Team Structuring

Support portfolio companies in building and scaling their finance functions, including transitioning from lean finance setups to outsourced accounting and eventually in-house finance teams.

Help assess finance team requirements across accounting, FP&A, controllership, taxation, treasury, and compliance.

Participate in finance leadership and role interviews for portfolio companies.

Work with founders to define finance team structures, roles, and hiring requirements.
What We’re Looking For

CA / MBA (Finance) preferred.

Candidates with strong finance, accounting, investment banking, transaction advisory,
consulting, or portfolio management experience are encouraged to apply.

Candidates with experience in a founder’s office / operating role at a startup may also be
considered.

Strong financial analysis and problem-solving skills.

Comfortable working with large datasets and financial statements.

Ability to independently manage multiple companies and workstreams simultaneously.

Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with founders and senior management.

High ownership, attention to detail, and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.

Strong proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets; familiarity with financial modelling is preferred.
Role Expectations

You will be the primary PMF point of contact for a portfolio of 20+ companies.

You will be responsible for ongoing portfolio monitoring and analysis for these companies.

You will work closely with your Manager and PMF Lead on portfolio management, diligence,
value creation, and strategic initiatives.

The role requires significant independent ownership, while providing regular updates and
escalating key issues to senior team members.
